Over at Vectorlight.net there is a very nice set of custom controls available for free for Silverlight 2. This includes over 20 controls with source code, and tutorials, for the inexpensive price of registration. Who did this great work, well none other than  Dan Birch, a longtime ASP.NET CMS developer for who has been using Silverlight since the alpha version (1.1) Dan likes the benefits of having the power of .NET and XAML on the client-side.

This project which combines both .NET Silverlight with Server-side ASP.NET has been in development since May 2007, it is is easy to use and doesn't clutter up the screen and delivers a true WYSIWYG experience. It uses a full modern XML file structure versus SQL.
