Michael Hart, Director of Engineering at Netflix and Mike Debnar, Vice President of Multichannel at Apigee, will discuss the business shift to an as-a-Service model as well as the new technical demands and infrastructure required by the "API Economy."
About the Presenters
Michael Hart is a director of engineering at Netflix where he conceived of and implemented the Netflix API, which today supports over a hundred Netflix-branded applications on game consoles, and connected TV and mobile devices. Prior to Netflix, Michael was a product unit manager with Microsoft and an architect with Accenture. Throughout his career, his focus has been on enabling rapid business innovation by supporting developers with robust software and service platforms.
Mike Debnar brings more than 15 years of experience bridging consulting, technology and e-commerce to build effective multi-channel strategies and retail platforms. Prior to Apigee, he worked across operations, merchandising and marketing to implement Blockbuster's multi-channel retail strategy. Previously, At 7-Eleven, he led a company-wide business transformation project centered around supply chain optimization. Mike has also managed systems implementation and integration projects for a variety of retailers and distributers.
